Idaho Showers is the shower-focused side of Star Contractor's remodeling work in the Treasure Valley. One trade, one room, done often enough that the hard parts are routine.
Short answer
Idaho Showers is a specialty site operated by Star Contractor. We design and build showers — walk-in, curbless, custom tile, waterproofing and tub-to-shower conversions — for homes across Boise, Meridian, Nampa and the surrounding Treasure Valley.
Why a shower-only site
A general remodeling company answers to a dozen different problems in a week. A shower is not really one of them — it is a small waterproof structure with plumbing in it, and it fails quietly, behind tile, years after anyone signed off on it. The failures we get called to repair are almost never about tile choice. They are about a pan that never held water, a membrane lapped the wrong way, or a drain that was never compatible with the system tiled over it.
Splitting the shower work onto its own site is how we keep that focus honest. Everything published here is about one room and one assembly. If your project is a kitchen or an addition, Star Contractor may still be the right call — but it is not what this site is for.
How we work
We look before we quote
No square-foot pricing over the phone. What a shower costs is decided by the floor structure, drain position and what is behind the existing walls, and none of that is visible from a photo.
One waterproofing system, named in writing
The scope says which manufacturer's system we are using and which drain goes with it. Mixing components across systems voids the manufacturer's guidance, so we do not do it.
Flood test before tile
The pan gets filled and held before anything is set over it. If it moves, we fix it while fixing it is still cheap.
We say no to work that is not ours
If the request is outside shower and wet-area work, we will tell you rather than subcontract it and stay on the invoice.
What you will not find on this site
No testimonials, star ratings, award badges, certification logos, years-in-business counts, warranty terms or price ranges. Not because none of that could ever be true, but because anything published here should be checkable, and those claims are the easiest ones to inflate. Ask us for registration, insurance and recent references and we will send them directly.
